Art in Perry, Iowa

Art on the Prairie in Perry, Iowa November 10th and 11th, is the product of dedicated artists, entrepenuers, community members and creative individuals. All of these people volunteer time and talents throughout the year before a festival to make it the outstanding artistic, musical and poetic experience that it is.

Perry, designated as one of Iowa’s “Great Places,” boasts a combination of arts, history, culture, commerce, and recreation, unmatched to any other of its size.  It’s walkable downtown is home to more than 30 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as several murals and public art pieces, including four sculptures along the Willis Avenue boulevard that pay tribute to Perry’s historical ties to the railroad, agriculture, industry, and the Arts.
