January Poetry Slam

Des Moines Poetry Slam is in their 19th year, same place and same time. Poets bring 3 original poems. Sign in starts at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, January 15th for the first 13 poets. All read in the first round starting at 7:00 p.m., eliminations drop the second round readers and top 3 readers read for place in the third round. Five judges hand out scores from 1-10, dropping the high/low. Come early for a good seat, meet a new friend and grab a drink.
