Art in Winterset, Iowa

The latest exhibit at the Iowa Quilt Museum, Portraits: The Many Faces of Iowa Art Quilters, opens on Tuesday, January 29th. The exhibit will be on display through Sunday, April 14th.

The Iowa Quilt Museum is housed in the historic ‘JC Penney’ building on the beautiful town square in Winterset, Iowa, and offers changing exhibits of American quilts both vintage and new. The museum welcomes quilters, quilt lovers, history buffs and all appreciators of American art and culture giving a new reason to spend time in a classic, rural town center.

Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and Easter Sunday.

If Winterset Community Schools close for inclement weather, they will also close.
