Mia Farrell has been a docent at the Des Moines Art Center for the last 5 years. An artist herself, Mia loves being the connector between people, artwork and one another.
“I believe that each piece of art exists in two places in the mind and hands of the artist and in the experience of the viewer. I find that most people feel that if they do not create art, that they are not involved in art, as a docent I strive to elevate and honor the roll of the viewer, without which art would not even exist!” – Mia Farrell
